Our dance camps are near renowned destination resorts & famous cities. At ADTC, you'll have access to all of the activities you'd want to enjoy at camp, as well as all of the amenities you'd expect to find at a resort. And we have just as much fun outside the dance studio as we do in class!
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our top-notch dance choreographers bring the freshest dance combinations to our dance camps! They hail from the best dance studios, schools and performance groups.
ADTC choreographers have the most impressive dance resumes: they are Radio City Rockettes; Broadway & MTV performers; celebrities from your favorite dance TV shows; and collegiate dance team competitors.
No matter what level dancer you are, we’ve got fun & challenging dance classes that’ll fit you just right.
You’ll take four dance classes daily and at week’s end you get to show off your new moves in a big Friday night performance for family, friends and fellow campers.
In addition to core dance classes in contemporary, hip hop & jazz (styles of jazz vary and may include lyrical, modern or Broadway), you’ll choose between ballet, tap or world dance for your core elective dance class.
And we believe girls in our perfectionist culture need to get out and have more authentic fun! At ADTC you can enjoy awesome activities & extras like horseback riding, kayaking, paintball, trampolines, swimming, hiking, rock wall climbing, alpine slides, water rides, and so much more!

CAMP FACILITIES: When "The Heart" was first built, it was a resort hotel, so all our "tepees" have central air-conditioning. Campers under 12 live in the original hotel, 4-5 girls per room with a counselor, indoor plumbing. Older girls live in dormitory-style "tepees" with 10-12 girls and 2-3 counselors per room, indoor plumbing. All bunk beds are twin size.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Heart O' the Hills has been a summer camp for girls since 1953. Director Jane Ragsdale was a camper herself who always wanted to run a camp. She became program director when she was 21, and after 12 summers in that role, became director. 2015 was her 50th consecutive summer to be at camp in some capacity.
We offer two- and four-week sessions. All campers are asked to take Red Cross swim lessons, field sports and horseback riding. There is a list of some 50 electives that campers can choose from to round out their schedules, so there is something for everyone--from the most athletic to the most creative. The emphasis is on learning new skills in a fun environment.
New campers draw from a hat to determine tribe affiliation. The friendly competitive spirit of the tribes are infectious!
Campers leave their electronics at home and learn to live and relate to each other the old fashioned way.
Counselors arrive a minimum of one week before campers to take skills certification courses and learn all about how The Heart operates.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Heart LITes are too old to be campers but haven't had a year of college, so don't qualify to be counselors. They may apply to come as volunteers.

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Camp Olympia is a private, overnight Texas summer camp for boys and girls ages 6-16 offering one- and two-week camp sessions and over 45 activities. Its beautiful location on Lake Livingston in Trinity, Texas is the perfect setting for fun, friends, and adventure. Camp Olympia strives to create an environment where campers can be themselves, grow in confidence and independence, discover new qualities and skills, and learn the true essence of friendship and community.

Gymnastics, Dance, Cheerleading, Theater, Fine Arts/Crafts, Video/Filmmaking/Photography, Golf, Soccer, Swimming, Tennis, Horses/Equestrian, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Waterfront/Aquatics, Baseball, and more.
CAMP LOCATION: Camp Olympia is located on beautiful Lake Livingston in the piney woods of East Texas of Trinity, Texas. Trinity is about 100 miles north of Houston, 200 miles south of Dallas-Ft. Worth area, and 200 miles east of Austin. Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is only 90 miles from camp, which makes the trip to Camp Olympia convenient for campers that are from other areas of Texas, out-of-state and out-of-country!
CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Olympia has outstanding facilities, including a swimming pool, challenge course, as well as fields and courts for many activities. While most of the activities take place on a 101-acre location, camp has access to hundreds of additional acres of private land. We improve the facility each year with additions and enhancements so campers are always in for a treat when they return. Additions within the last 5 years include our new climbing wall at our swimming pool, new lakeside Olympiatheater that is perfect for Talent Show, New Cluster of Cabins (our largest cluster of cabins ever!), 2-Person Zip Line at the Challenge Course, a Water Balloon Battle Station at the pool, and Aqua Inflatables for both the pool and waterfront! Camp just keeps getting better and better!!!
While Olympia is located on the breezy shores of Lake Livingston, it does get warm in Texas during the summer. Unlike most of the other camps in Texas, all of the cabins, bathrooms, our dining hall, and many of the enclosed areas are air conditioned. Air conditioned cabins make sleeping at night much more comfortable!
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Olympia has gone above and beyond many private camps to demonstrate our commitment to safety by complying with the accreditation standards of the American Camping Association (ACA). To earn accreditation, we comply with over 200 health, safety, and program quality standards. During our latest accreditation visit, we made a perfect score complying with all 200+ standards.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: The Camp Olympia Leadership Program (CLP) is the pinnacle of an Olympia camper’s tenure at camp and a once-in-a-lifetime experience! It is a program for prior Camp Olympia campers who are sixteen years of age by July 1.
The CLP Program offers a unique summer camp adventure as it combines a Camp Olympia experience in Texas with a week-long Colorado adventure, including: leadership training, lifeguard and first aid training and certification, rock-climbing, team ropes course and initiatives, whitewater rafting, and climbing a mountain together as a team. This special camp program focuses on building leaders, fostering teamwork and improving self-confidence.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: The camp fun at Camp Olympia continues after summer! There are many special events planned throughout the year for kids, teens, and parents too!
